Chris Bevan is a journalist for the BBC Sport website, writing mainly about football, tennis and cycling. He’s competed in all of these sports with what he calls, ahem, mixed success and says his biggest sporting achievement was probably breaking his leg in two places at Highbury, just before it was turned into flats.
Chris is a keen football historian who loves taking a deep dive into statistics that show something you might otherwise have missed, I have a special passion for telling the stories of how young players survive different pitfalls to make their way in the game. He has extensive experience of covering domestic and international football home and abroad, including attending the past four World Cups and three European Championships, and has also worked at 13 FA Cup finals at the new Wembley.
He lives in Manchester with his wife and two daughters.
