A journalist for three decades, Glen Humphries has reported on all sorts of things including transport, the Port Kembla steelworks, local councils, movies, TV and politics. Pretty much everything except sports, which is odd given he’s written two rugby league books, one about cricket and another about Australian sporting venues. He has won several awards for his writing, which he mentions because it seems that’s the sort of thing you do in author biographies.
While he grew up in Sydney, he has lived in Wollongong for ages. One day he might be considered a local. He really, really hopes that if you like this book that you buy some of his others. He thinks that would be great.
